not getting control center on iPhone x with down right swipe

re: iPhone x, I'm trying to swipe down from the right to get to control center.

Instead I get "Siri App Suggestions"

Please advise!

You're pulling down from the center of the screen. To get Control Center, pull down from the very top right hand side of the screen.
