My ipod 6 th generation has started lacking and showing coloured lines on the screen and than finally it black outs sometimes it allow get stuck for 3 to 5 mins it happen since i was using iOS 10.3.3 than I thought it would have be a sowftware problem I upgraded it using the iTunes but it’s still on the same page and worse than before.

I already attempted the software update and resorted it twice the issues is solved for 10 mins than when ever I hard press to just tap on the back or put iPod on the desk it just start with the coloured lines than turn black screen slowly within 1 min

Could the problem be a damaged battery
Because whenever the ipod get a hit ( i mean putting the ipod at the table not little gently or tapping at the back as usually people do when waiting) at the back the problems starts.
