Contact information not autofilling in Safari

Macbook Pro (Retina display 13-inch, Early 2015 version)

Processor: 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5


Safari on my MacBook Pro is no longer autofilling my contact information. I do not have this issue on my iPhone or iPad and it is only my contact information that does not autofill. All my passwords and credit card information autofill when requested. The box for autofilling passwords and contact info is and has always been checked under Safari preferences. When I begin typing in the indicated box, a customize option box comes up, but nothing comes up when I click it. I am not sure what to do.

Safari Login AutoFill

Available for: OS X El Capitan 10.11.6, macOS Sierra 10.12.6, and macOS High Sierra 10.13.4

Impact: A malicious website may be able to exfiltrate autofilled data in Safari without explicit user interaction.

Description: Safari autofill did not require explicit user interaction before taking place. The issue was addressed through improved autofill heuristics.

Hi Eric,


Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately this does not solve my issue. The “autofill user names and passwords” box is checked in my Safari preferences. Also the only information that does not autofill is my name and other contact information. My computer used to autofill everything, unfortunately I do not remember if this stopped before or after I updated my macOS.
