Trackpad stopped "clicking"

I have been reading the discussions on this issue just as I typed it above, and lots of the answers instruct you to turn off force click by going to Apple menu > System Preferences > Trackpad > Point & Click > uncheck “Force Click and haptic feedback” and they show this picture:

But my trackpad preferences window looks like this:

Why doesn't mine have that extra

feature when I am running HighSierra on a MacBook Air that is relatively new?

Accidental Click and Drag on MBP Trackpad I'm on my third Macbook Pro now, with a Macbook Pro (15 inch, 2018) running a 2.8 GHz 6-core Intel Core i7. These trackpads are much larger than previous models and it takes some getting used to. Occasionally (while mousing around using the trackpad) I find I'm inadvertently clicking and dragging items on the desktop, or selecting a bunch of stuff and accidentally moving it or relocating it, or worse. Seems like I'm missing a System Preference setting? Does anyone else have this problem? I just changed a setting under Trackpad called CLICK. I set this to FIRM - I forget what the default setting was. Will this stop this problem from happening? Besides using a wired or wireless mouse, any other suggestions that I can try? Thanks!

trackpad click sensitive not enought hi ! im new in macbook world and i realized that the minimun of click sensitive (ligth) isnt enoght ! in windows laptops the click is taping very soft in the trackpad, only a tiny touch and here in my macbook is like i have to punch the pad ! why ! is there a way to increase the sesnsitive of the trackpad ? :( thanks !

Macbook trackpad lower corner clicks not working We have 2 identical Macbooks (Retina, 12", Early 2015). On one, the lower corner clicks worked correctly and on the other, no response. In researching, I saw something about the 'secondary click' having to be turned on in Preferences under Trackpad. I did this to the one that was working correctly and the clicks stopped working. I turned it off and it did not go back to working again, even after a reboot.
