Setting up a second hand Apple watch

I‘ve bought an Apple Watch second hand, and when I try to charge it, I just get a squiggly green line on the watch face. Ive left it charging for a couple of hours, and it doesn’t change. I also can’t switch it on. Please help.

Apple Watch alternates between red and green charging sign my Apple Watch discharged and I am trying to charge and I get this weird sign alternating between red thunderbolt with a wire and a green one. What does it mean and how long will it take to charge?
