Hi,
I need to create a folder action to automatically create an alias when a new folder is created.
The action should monitor a specific folder and once it notices a new folder, create an alias and move it into a specific folder.
Can anyone help me with this, please?

In the example below the folder enabled is called Test.
The Output creates an Alias on the Desktop. You can change the source or the destination easily.
Create a Folder (on your Desktop or wherever)
Open Automator
Choose Folder Actions Script
Copy the workflow below.
Done.

I actually tried again this morning and it started working, the only problem is that this script creates an alias of both folders and files inside these folders without the same structure, every file is in the "New Aliases" folder I have selected outside their original folder.
Is there any chance I can do this while keeping the same structure?

If it is how do you connect to the server?
smb connection?
If so ensure it is mounted otherwise there will be issues.
I'd also add the server shortcut to my Dock at the bottom of the screen and to your login items so when you login it attempts to mount it.
Just tried, it correctly goes through the server script but still cannot find files inside the folder.
I tried with two folders on my desktop and the result is still the same... weird? (obviously, I have deleted the Specified Servers in this instance).
Thank you for your reply, I did this and it resulted in 2 warnings. Could this be due to these folder being located ona server?

Just add the get specified command to your workflow and enter the smb address. Done.

Yes, we are having massive issues with how the smb server works, it used to work better in the past.
