I am beginning to believe that Apple is deaf. So many have reported the same issues over and over yet iOS update has yet to fix the ones that give me the most grief. Is there any one in Apple that cares?

I've had the same issue myself and I am only 72. Maybe something about old fingers 😝
But seriously, have you tried holding the phone at a different angle, like vertically or horizontally and does it make a difference?
At 76 i miss call because the slider doesn’t like my finger
