Regarding iTunes, I just transferred 25,000 songs to my new PC from back-up. I followed all instructions but my Play Lists did not carry over. It would be much work to create new ones. I also hope to retain my # of plays and Last Played data. Can you help me? Thank you!

Were the same builds of iTunes installed on source and target computers? Did you use File > Add Folder to Library at any point? Perhaps this section of my tip applies:
If you think that you've moved your library correctly but cannot see your expected content when you open the library see Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash. If you have difficulty updating content see Repair security permissions for iTunes for Windows.
If you want to share some details of what has been copied from where to where I might be able to make sense of it.

See Make a split library portable for more on the standard layout of the iTunes library. Unlike most applications clicking on an iTunes library file opens iTunes with the current library, rather than the selected file. To explore different library files you have to use the hold down shift as you launch iTunes method then chose the specific .itl file that you want to open.
See Corrupt iPod Classic for some ideas on that. A restore and reload is likely required.

Hello again - As far as I can recall, I have never used File > Add Folder to Library. In looking at the different file structures between my source drive and destination new PC, I can see quite a bit of difference. In actual fact, my preference is to keep my iTunes files on my source drive if I can straighten it out. My sole motivation is that I can only partially sync my iTunes to my iPod classic (newly added music only carrys over 2 or 3 songs at a time to the iPod while hundreds of new songs are sitting in iTunes; generates "unknown error") and I thought syncing from a different computer might be the fix. I also notice over time that less and less GBs of media are taking up more and more storage space on the iPod, so I’m suspicious that I have a lot of unnecessary clutter.
(Original file structure on external hard drive):
iTunes> (music file folders by artist)
> Album Artwork > Download
> Local
> iTunes > Album Artwork > local
> iTunes library (db - opens my current list of songs)
> iTunes music library (xml)
> iTunes Library (Damaged) (dated 11/22/07) (db - opens my current list of songs)
> iTunes Library (dated 1/8/08) (db - opens my current list of songs)
