Question: Files disappearing from Finder

My files keep disappearing from the Finder window. I know they're there, and if I wait and come back later, the files will be there, but sometimes I can't access them when I need them.

The Finder will display the complete list of files in a given folder then a bunch will simply disappear.

Is anyone having this trouble? And how do I fix it?

Try rebuilding your Finder preferences.

From your Finder "Go" menu > "Go to folder" and enter

Click Go.

Delete the plist file.

Then, restart, or log out and in again.

(You may have to reset some Finder preferences the way you like them)
