MacBook Pro 2017 13inch overheating while gaming?

I'm trying to play Fortnite on my MacBook Pro 2017 but whenever I get into a game, the laptop heats up and gets very loud, sounding like a jet engine. Is there any software or programs I can download to keep my MacBook from doing this? Is there any way I can set the game to high priority or is it just not possible to run the game on this version of the MacBook?

MacBook Pro, macOS High Sierra (10.13.3)

Use Activity Monitor to Kill Runaway Processes

Use Activity Monitor on your Mac

Runaway applications can shorten battery runtime, affect performance, and increase heat and fan activity.

Should the above not prove helpful, then make an appointment at the Apple Genius Bar for service. If you need to find an Apple Store - Find a Store - Apple.
