Trying to watch live tv streaming from my iPad to tv but it will not let me. I’ve connected the lightning digital av adapter. I can see my xfinity tv channels on the tv screen but keep getting a license error. I don’t know what else to do?

Hi LAC -the reason is we want to cancel our cable and I’m just trying to find other ways to watch tv. Like you said I can watch it from my iPad but wanted to watch it on larger tv. Thanks for your help 😊
I believe it does not work that way.
If you are paying to watch live TV from Xfinitiy on a 10" screen, you can't then send that signal to a 40" screen.
You are likely paying a lesser fee for TV because the viewing experience is lesser.

This suggests the problem. Does the app need a login?
I can't imagine watching TV from a cable company on an iPad is free.
You need to contact Comcast/Xfinity to see if you pay for this additional service or not.
