iTunes Uses 100% CPU

It seems that iTunes on my iMac is constantly running at 100% CPU. This has been happening for a while and I've tried shutting it down and restarting but no fix.

Checking Activity Monitor shows 100% CPU and 71:26:20 CPU time. iTunes version 12.7.4

I'm no expert but I don't think this is normal.

After trying to connect to my music library on the Synology station, the Macbook also had the same issues as my iMac.

Itunes slow loading Recently it is taking 60 - 90 seconds for Itunes to load. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it twice. I am running a i7-8700 with 32gb ram. 500gb free on my primary ssd. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Pat

iTunes lags on Windows 10 iTunes often lags significantly (1-5 secs) in responding to mouse and keyboard commands. I'm running it on a more than reasonably powerful Dell PC (i7-10700K @ 3.80 GHz, 32GB RAM, SSD, etc...) with the latest updates for both Windows and iTunes. Any thoughts?
