High Sierra 10.13.4 Finder issue

My finder on my iMac desktop is not finding files when they do exist under documents.

Is there a fix for this ?

Finder's "Search" Option not working I am trying to use Finder's "Search" option (in the upper right hand corner of Finder) to locate files on my iMac (using Mac OS Monterey v12.6) and it has stopped working. This is one of my favorite features! These are files that I KNOW 100% are on my computer. No matter what I search for, it doesn't find them. I made sure the search settings are checked to find the file name. My husband has the same exact computer and his search function is still working. Thank you in advance!

how do i get finder to search in a folder? when i search in finder, it automatically searchinges "this mac" rather than the folder I had selected. When I change the search in the top of the finder window to select the folder that I had open - by clicking on it - the search continues to find files anywhere on my mac. I can tell its finding results from wierd and random places elsewhere on the system because if I select a file in the search results, it shows the path at the bottom and it has nothing to do with the folder I had selected. is there a way - in finder - to search a folder and its sub folders for files containing the words I am searching for and not have it show results from the entire system? if there is not a way in finder, what is the way I can search for files containing the text I am looking for using TERMINAL, where I believe things might behave logically?

It seems to work already in spotlight, but not in Finder. How do I reset the Finder ? I already relaunched Finderand it doesn't help. When I access the Finder from another user, it does find the files.

It only happens on some files - some files are found and some are not. I'm usually looking for a doc file or excel file.
