Swollen battery early-2015 13-inch MacBook Pro Retina

I noticed that my early-2015 13-inch MacBook Pro Retina was unstable on my desk in the past few months. I didn't think anything about it until the lid wasn't closing flush. Yesterday I saw that Apple announced a replacement program for swollen batteries in 2016 MacBook Pro's without touch bar. I never thought that my issue could be a swollen battery, so I immediately took my MacBook to an Apple Service Center and they confirmed that my issue is a swollen battery. I left it with them for repair and will get it back in 7-10 days with a hefty repair bill and a distorted case. I never thought that Apple batteries would be so badly made that they would swell and distort the case!

Are other people having this problem with this model? Any ideas about getting Apple to extend their battery replacement program to this model?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch,Early 2015), macOS High Sierra (10.13.4), null

Thanks for the quick response. I should have mentioned that I live in Bangkok and Apple doesn't operate owned stores here therefore, no Genius Bars. Apple uses authorized service centers and I bought the Mac from the online Thailand Apple Store. I already brought the Mac to an authorized service center that I've used before where they confirmed that the battery was swollen. They suggested that I contact Apple directly but, since the Mac is out of warranty, I can't find any way to contact Apple directly other than via their feedback website. That site wasn't intended for hardware issues but I tried it anyway. I'm really looking for a way to contact Apple about this.
