My iPhone got wet

I have an older iPhone I think 5(it has the big charger not the lightning) and it got wet. I brought it into a store and they couldn’t do anything. Is there a way to get the photos off of it? Maybe third party?

If the device got wet, and you cannot power the phone on, then your only chance might be to take it to some 3rd party repair that may be able to disassemble the phone to recover the memory. I would be very careful about my choice, and find one that would only charge you if they make a recovery. Otherwise, the data is lost. The only other chance is if you had a backup of the phone while the photos were on the phone. Then they would be in the backup.
