internet recovery failed 2015 Mac book pro

Hi

I have a 13" mac book pro with 256gb and 8gb RAM. It got the high sierra update and it failed to complete the install. I attempt to do a clean install by doing an internet recovery and then wipe the HD.

During the installation process, it got stuck at the last 2% according to the log

It is having issues with the InstallESDDmg.pkg: xar_verify failed.

any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks but already in recovery and going through the installation process. It is in its final stage but could validate the installssddmg.pkg file. I gave up and install El Capitan and try to upgrade that way. It is weird that it couldn’t upgrade.

To manually start up from macOS Recovery over the Internet, hold down Option-Command-R

or Shift-Option-Command-R at startup.
