Imac not updating my photos from iCloud

My iMac is not updating my photos from the iCloud.


it has been several days since I returned from a vacation. I have had the computer on many times. It says at bottom of iPhotos that it is updating... but so far no new photos for the last 3-4 weeks have been added.


what can I do?

these photos are on both my other devices.. iPhone and iPad.

on computer

system..icloud.. iCloud Photo Library is on and iCloud Photo sharing is on.

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

Same here. It’s been over a month that my MacBook Pro is not updating my photos, though they are on my other devices as well as on iCloud.com


I figured it was because my computer is super old (2009) and maybe and update caused this (no longer compatible) but I have seen other bizarre things going on. For example, pics taken in portrait mode on my iPhone X and edited in the photos app en the phone, somehow, days later show up un edited and with the portrait feature turned off! So I’m starting to think there’s a bug in the cloud?!


Ugh. So frustrating. 1TB of iCloud Photo Library and this is what we get? ;(
