Password protected Notes launch Apple store login

Hi there,

I wonder if anyone can help please. I'm running HS 10.13.4 on a 2017 27" iMac and the first time (with each log in/prolonged period of sleep) I try to open a password protected Apple Note the App Store window opens requesting I "Sign-in to Redeem Your Code' I do not have any codes to redeem. Once I quit the App Store log in request I'm not asked again.

I've signed in and out of iCloud and changes my Notes Password but not change. Anyone have any idea what is causing the two app to be linked please, maybe a corrupt Plist?
