Touch is not working

I just bought the Apple Watch 3 and I also bought a defender cover for the face. Now when i’m Wearing the watch it won’t let me swipe the screens. I read on one discussion that I should turn off the wrist detection but then I loose some of the activity functions....what can I do?

Apple watch unresponsive touch with Wrist Detection I have recently purchased an apple watch series 5 44 mm. The real issue that I am facing is that when wear the watch on my wrist with wrist detection enabled, the touch screen is not as responsive or fluid as it is on removing it. I have to make multiple taps on the watch in order to get this to work. Additionally, I noticed that if I remove the watch, it works just fine and also disabling the wrist detection feature also helps. However, this is not a solution and I really wants the Apple Genius folks to take this concern into account. This is a very serious problem for me.

my display does not appear on the watch face when I move my wrist I have to physically touch the crown to get any display my watch display does not appear when I move my wrist. I have to touch the crown each time

TouchScreen I have an Apple Watch Series 5. When the Apple Watch is NOT on my wrist, the touch screen works fine. When the watch is on my wrist, the touch screen does not work well at all. I have tried powering the watch down and cleaning it. Any other suggestions?

So remove the screen protector and test again. If touch now works you know the protector was not compatible.

I just looked and Apple doesn’t sell covers....

These covers are made by third parties not Apple. So if you have problems you need to contact the company that makes that cover.

A cover not made by Apple could end up causing more harm than good.
