Final Cut Pro 10.4.1

I am starting up Final Cut Pro 10.4.1 for the first time since the upgrade and get the everlasting spinning color wheel. Previous to the upgrade there were 3 libraries connected, two on external USB drives and one on the internal drive. Upon startup Final Cut updated the 3 libraries, completed and then I selected on one of the libraries and then get the everlasting spinning color wheel.

The libraries are > 2Tb in size.

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015)

High Sierra: 10.13.4 (17E199)

3.3 GHz Intel Core i5

24 GB 1867 MHz DDR3

AMD Radeon R9 M395 2048 MB

Troubleshooting steps:

  • I have run disk utility on all the drives and everything is clean.
  • Moving libraries around from internal drive to USB drive.
