Did you lose Safari in latest update?
Macbook Pro, running Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6 Just installed updates for Safari, iTunes, etc., restarted and lost Safari. Any ideas?

Typically you do not lose apps when ugrading or updating. This would not be a very accepted outcome.
Explain what you mean–you lost it?
You can restore it from TimeMachine if neccessary.
Have you checked the Applications folder?
See if you can find the file(s) using one of these programs. If you go Finder/View/Show Path Bar, it will show you where it is located.

hi
Did not 'lose' Safari but upon first attempt to Update (this instance) from App Store it crashed machine, which then went into spasms and decided it had to re-download Sierra. It had lost the OS!
Worst hour of my life watching that. After 2 reboots it finally started up normally.
Checked AStore again and today just updated Safari and nothing else.
As suggested, try the store again.
Stupidly AS shows I have installed same version twice. There is something very buggy in land of apples once more.
YMMV, dave

Have you checked the App Store Updates tab to see if there is a Safari update? What version of Safari are you using? Where are you seeing this message?
