When people are calling me my phone doesn't ring but the other person gets a message saying I am on another line. If they hang up and call back straight away then they get through to me. I have tried re-booting my phone but nothing seems to be working. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

As the call is not being connected to your phone, but instead interrupted before it gets there, this might be an unwanted action by the carrier's voicemail system. I'd contact your carrier.
