User Name or Password incorrect "imap.aol.com"

Experiencing similar problem to Kalwillow post from January 2018. I am unable to receive/send messages from an AOL account on my iPhone. Have two separate AOL accounts on phone. One works fine other stopped working last week. Checked the settings for both AOL accounts and they appear to be identical with the exception of AOL account name.

Phone searches for messages but comes up with error message "Cannot Get Mail The user name or password for "imap.aol.com" is incorrect. Problem occurs on both phone and iPad mini which are synced to same Apple ID.

To problem shoot, I tried adding an existing third AOL account to my phone. Process worked fine and can receive/send messages from this third account on phone.

I deleted the problem AOL account and tried to add it back in using add AOL account process. Received same error message. Tried adding it back in using Other email provider process and got the same error message.

As other info this AOL account works fine on my PC. Also, after phone problem started last week, I changed PW on this account. No issues with account on PC after PW change.

Have tried everything I can think of and would welcome suggestions. Thanks for any comments!
