Sonnet Breakaway 650 and Vega 64 liquid cooled

Has anyone had an issue with their eGPU being recognized by High Sierra but not the card? I’m using the Sonnet Breakaway Box 650 which is detected by High Sierra but not the Sapphire Radeon RX Vega 64 water cooled card. Both the card and box are running with LEDs lit and I can hear the radiator cooling fan running so there’s power going to the card. the card only uses 375 watts and the Enermax is rated at 650 watts with a top load of 700 watts.

My system recognizes the eGPU and I can see minimal load on Vega 64 (but it doesn't look like it is being utilized at all). The sonnet site actual says it is not supported at this time
