Apple Watch cellular three doesn’t recognize standing- and yes I am walki g around for more than a minute have restarted am up to date and all other “easy” fixes. How are you working to take care of this? Last auestion for this had a lot of people with the same issue
A lot of people with the same issue? Or a lot of people with a lot of different causes leading to the same visible problem? None of us know the answer to that but some may have a hardware problem, some may be software problems. You don’t even say whether you have a total failure (always zero minutes), poor calibration (some minutes but the rate is always wrong), or intermittent function (works sometimes but not other times).
If its a software problem, until someone can narrow it down to a series of reproducible steps to break the function it will be a long slow search for the developers looking for a nuisance bug. It doesn’t seem to hit every user, and even then it is intermittent. Can’t see it, can’t fix it, but there is no point exchanging the hardware if it’s a bug, and for a flaky hardware sensor there is no point trying to fix the software.
Yes, a lot of people with the same issue. The reason that I did not give all of that information is that I was trying to reply to another post where over 60 people were having the exact same issue, when it the forum prompted me to ask a question- I thought that it would be referenced here and I did not want to duplicate it.
In mine and the other users cases it was a watch that was calibrated updated powered on and off etc, and still would only intermittently track standing even when firmly on wrist etc. While it may be tough for developers to find the onus is on them to at least respond that they are searching when it seems like many people are saying “hey, the thing we spent almost 400 bucks on isn’t functioning correctly”
