Your ISO is correct. Dod you have any external storage and/or peripherals (other than Keyboard/Mouse) connected to your Mac when you run BC Assistant with the ISO on your Desktop? If yes, disconnect all such peripherals, run a SMC and NVRAM reset and retry BC Assistant.
Please run the highlighted commands in macOS Terminal. You should be in the directory where the ISO files are located.
ls -lgh *.iso
-rw-r--r--@ 1 staff 4.4G Dec 14 12:01 Win10_1709_English_x64.iso
openssl md5 Win10_1709_English_x64.iso
MD5(Win10_1709_English_x64.iso)= 5e8bdef20c4b468f868f1f579197f7cf
Do you have any external storage and/or hubs connected to your Mac when you try to install Windows?
You need to be in ~/Downloads/. Be aware that using it from Downloads causes problems. If the MD5sum is correct, I suggest moving the ISO from the ~/Downloads to some other directory, say ~/Documents or ~/Desktop.
Can you post the exact error message and/or a screenshot/photo?
Is there an ISO file mounted on the Mac? If yes, what is the name of the ISO file (not the mounted) image? This message usually indicates a corrupted ISO downloaded from Microsoft.
Run
cd ~/Desktop/
ls -lgh *.iso
openssl md5 Win10_1709_English_x64.iso
Thank you for your help. I have now got Windows 10 running. I have learnt a lot.
Excellent. Please remember to backup macOS and Windows and create a Windows System Restore point.
