Hi,
I was trying to sync my selected pictures(around 14,000 pictures+videos) into my iphoneX, however it stucks at "reading pictures" like forever. I was able to sync photos normally before until i update my itunes to the latest version(12.7.4.80) this morning.
I already tried all the ways which were posted in the community and nothing works. what else can i do to fix this? please help!

Reverting to iTunes 12.7.3.46 is the only reliable workaround that I am aware of.
To roll back to iTunes 12.7.3.46 see the iTunes installers section of Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for direct download links and advice on reverting to a pre-upgrade copy of your library. You lose the changes made to the library since you installed 12.7.4.76. You can add the media folder to the library to catch up with recent additions.
