The problem of "how to manage files/memory classified as other" can be found all arround the web as not solved for years. In spide of all advantages of iOS it seams, that this is a BIG weak point of the system...
Please give me some optimistic answer!!!
How is it possible that I have over 6GB (!!!) full of trash with no way to monitor it ??? Are you realy not able to manage this problem?

If this is happening on a MacBook Air where you posted, then follow these steps:
The Storage tab does not always report correctly. Also check by choosing your Mac HD and "Get Info" (command-i). It may be different. Try rebuilding Spotlight index.

Some of the space may also be from Time Machine Snapshots.

After you've freed up some space download Omni DiskSweeper:

Itcan show you the precise size and location of all your files. It will inventory your disk starting from the files that take up the most space. If you want you can even delete files from OmniDisk Sweeper. But be careful some of the items may be important to your system.

The answer seems to contain useful indications for Mac user...
Unfortunely all I have is iTunes (Windows7), which (unfortunately) for a long time doesn't give any more even the possibility to save apps in backup, and never to manage the memory.
Is there any chance to clean iPhone memory with pc - or with some app directly from iPhone?
