Can you install System 7.5 using System 7 tidbits and disk tools?

Over 4 years ago, I bought a Macintosh LC that had a broken power supply. Got it working soon after I bought it but never really wanted to do anything with it until now.
I tried installing some software from the floppy disks that came with it but it says something along the lines of "cant open compressed files, install system correctly"

I went to reinstall system 7.5 from the disks that came with it but I realised I don't have the system 7.5 tidbits and disk tool floppy disks, however I do have the system 7.0 tidbits and disk tool floppy disks.
Could I possibly use the System 7.0 tidbits and disk tool floppy disks with the system 7.5 install disks?
Does system 7.5 even need the tidbits and disk tool floppy disks?
Also, would it be easier just to install system 7.0 onto it instead?

Thanks!

A plain System 7.5 set of floppies ought to consist of something like seven (may possibly differ depending on language version) 1.44 MB Install disks (and some extra floppies, including Disk Tools). Is this not what you have? Do you have a special 7.5 version (such as floppy disks from a 7.5.3 download)?

A normal Install 1 disk would contain an Installer application. The Installer handles the unpacking of files on the following (six) disks. The procedure is to start the computer with Install 1 in the floppy drive, and then launch the installer. One can choose a Custom or an Easy Install. If Custom is chosen, it is possible to separately install things like a minimal system or a universal system for all Macs. One can also, for example, custom install the PC Exchange control panel for compatibility with PC-formatted floppies.
