lost contacts

I am using Mac OS high Sierra 10.13.4 with latest updates and when opened address book some of old contacts are vanished in iCloud accounts and web accounts , please suggest different methods how to restore them , so that address book works .

I have searched an answer open address book click on all contacts , tap one contact to get highlighted , select all of them use command and A key on the keyboard , right click on them and click on export as v card , a pop window will appear its the choice where to export in download folder or at other location ( click on drop down arrow and choose the desired location ) and click on save , screen shots for them .

To import the contacts an article iCloud: Import a contact into iCloud Contacts

Yes the network speed is the the essential part of syncing the contacts , if the user has exceeded free 5gb data and not purchased the data an error will always occur , the user has to reduce the iCloud data an article for it Manage your iCloud storage - Apple Support

And in system preferences - click on iCloud and sign out from the account and archive folder will be created in home folder .
