iCloud backup does not backup all of my contacts
Some of the contacts on my iPhone do not appear on my iCloud contact list. How do I make sure that all of my iPhone contacts are backed up?

If some contacts are not syncing to iCloud, one common reason is that they are 3rd party (e.g., Google contacts) but the following has instructions for other things that may help as well as that: Get help using iCloud Contacts, Calendars, or Reminders - Apple Support
Note that syncing contacts to iCloud is not part of iCloud Backup. The contacts should sync each time any change is made and does not require iCloud Backup to be done.
