Switch between local music libraries on HomePod

My wife and I each have an iPhone, and we each have a desktop Mac with separate iTunes music libraries (synched to each of our iPhones). We just got a HomePod. We want to be able to switch the HomePod between playing stuff on the iTunes music library on her iPhone (ie, same as iTunes on her desktop Mac) and the music library on my iPhone (ie, on my desktop Mac). How do can we do this switching on the fly?

You cannot. HomePod can be used as an AirPlay target from any of your devices, but it gets hooked up to a single Apple ID for the purposes of HomeKit and can only be connected to one Apple ID for access to that account's purchases or iCloud Music Library. You can switch accounts in the Home app, but it isn't what I would call on the fly.

See the Manage Music & Podcasts section of Change settings for HomePod - Apple Support.
