BUT I deleted a ton of pictures and videos and have 1.53 GB remaining but the desktop on my phone still has a red #1 indicating a storage problem. I also thought I turned off iCloud so I do not understand why that reminder is still showing up. Any advice?
If you delete photos and videos they are merely placed in the 'Recently Deleted' Album on your phone where they remain for 30 days before being permanently deleted. If you want to free up space you must also delete your photos from the 'Recently Deleted' album.
