iTunes (and photos and quite a few more) quit unexpectedly while using the AudioCodecs plug-in.

I have a

macbook pro late 2011 running el capitan.

I have searched everywhere for a

mystery extension or plug in.

I cannot find my installation disks to run a hardware test.

I cannot even find reference to an AudioCodecs plug-in.

any help would be appreciated

Any sign AppleMusic HD working in Mojave? Not here :-( I did re-check iCloud syncing (as someone suggested) BUT no sign of HD or other sound resolutions in iTunes/Mojave. I've tried with internal DAC, and two different external DACs. In my iOS devices these new formats seem to work, and is indicated in "Music" app and recognised by internal & external DACs. "Settings" for Music also shows the new feature. (Some weird functioning sometimes... but acceptable). NO WAY in my iMac. No clue in iTunes "Preferences". Song info says .aac Is this a progressive implementation from Apple? Am I missing something? (I did close session and re-logged in AppleMusic also, and all kind of re-starts)

iTunes, music, "For you", Browse, and Radio do not respond iTunes (12.6) os x 10.11 el capt. The music windows for "For you", Browse, and Radio do not respond. everything else functions OK, at least to my knowledge. I've a few macs (2 air's, and a mini), I've an issue with the mini(6 intel 17) running el capt. The hardware is a few years old it has a hard drive as opposed to solid state storage, and it is a bit slow to respond at times; shutting it down and restarting has always worked in the past. But now this fall back fix doesn't work and it refuses to run those 3 functions. The other macs running el capt. and high sierra using a slightly different version of iTunes 12 all work. What kind of bug would interfere with those three functions on the mini?

music dot under bar (._) files I have a reasonably large music library in Apple Music on an iMac. I have tried to copy the music files to an USB drive to plug into my blue ray play to allow me to play music through my home theater system. To create the USB drive I simply went to the iTunes folder with all of the music files using Finder, highlighted the artist folders that I wanted to copy, and pasted them to the Western Digital drive. I have used this same process to copy the music to a USB thumb drive to play in my car. When I plug either the USB drive or USB thumb drive into my Sony ES1100UHD player they both show that either the file is corrupt or unsupported. The display with the prefix ._ (dot under bar) on the display connected to the blue ray player. Interestingly, when I take the same USB thumb drive and plug it into my vehicle (2018 Chevrolet Colorado) the ._ files do not appear and the music plays with no problem. Any ideas on how to get the files to play through the Sony ES1100UHD blue ray player will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
