can't connect to the account "icloud"

I continually receive this message in Mail and can't send emails from my icloud. How can I delete this please?

iMac, Other OS, OS X Version 10.0.3.

cannot send email hi! while sending an email it comes up with "cannot send mail - the user name or password for "iCloud" is incorrect" it gives me an ok and a settings button. i click settings sand it just brings me to my apple ID yet i don't know where or how to reenter
