Hey there. I love my AirPods and use them daily for work calls. Recently I have noticed that during calls, the person’s voice at the other end goes slo-mo for about 10 seconds before correcting. I was on a call a couple of days ago where this happened, and I was told that at the same time my voice went double speed. This now happens daily and I don’t want to use them anymore for work. I’ve tried resetting them, restarting my phone and no luck.
Same scenario for me as well, which started a couple weeks ago (I believe only after upgrading to iOS 11.3 on April 6th.)
I'll be upgrading to 11.3.1 today and see if that happens to resolve anything.
Thanks for the reply. I have narrowed this down a bit and dont think its the airpods. Despite also having the latest update my voice calls i continue to have this problem.
The issue seems to be getting worse too. With voice calls, my speaker and mic no longer work at all. I turn the phone off and on again and it seems to work, but i still have the same issue with chipmonk/slo mo about a minute into every call.
Have spoken with apple support and they have suggested the following steps, which i am now working through.
1. Switch out the sim into another device and see if the issue continues.
2. Call the carrier telco and see if this is a wider issue
3. Do a hard reset of the device, after backing up by holding down power and vol down buttons for 15secs.
4. Failing all of these steps, Get back to apple support to arrange a store visit.

I updated to 11.3.1 and still having the same issue on almost every call on my 7. Rather annoying.
Strangely though, i haven't noticed it happening on my SE.
I'm having the exact same issues...just started maybe about a week ago. Not issues prior to that?!? HELP! It's happening daily and I use them for work - but may have to stop.
