Messenger/notification help

Hi so I have an IPhone 7plus currently running ios 11.3 but I'm having issues with receiving notifications, and even getting my text tone from just one contact. I've made sure do not disturb isnt on, ive swiped left and made sure show/hide alerts was on the right setting, I've made sure my phone wasn't on mute. I get notifications when anyone else messages me but not when this one contact messages me. I get their phone calls but not messages. So does anyone have any ideas?

The only suggestion that I could make would be to delete the Contact card and then set it up again. Doesn't sound like that would be related, but since you are having no issues with anyone else, it kind of seems like that is that is the only thing that would be different between your senders.
