my name is greyed out, unable to select it to back up, etc. anyone know what i can do to fix this? thanks!

First, go to Settings > General > Restrictions and check that Restrictions are showing to be off. Next, I recommend you check out this article with steps for How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch and close the Settings app. Once that is done, Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch then check to see if you are still noticing the issues.
