Rented iTunes movie won't play

I rented a film and successfully downloaded it, but when I press play, iTunes doesn't play the movie!! I feel as though I have totally wasted my money. Can anyone help me with this matter please ?

MacBook Air, macOS High Sierra (10.13.3)
