What were you doing when you received the message? Were you told your Apple ID was disabled?
Last I knew only myself and my husband knew my Apple ID information, I’m just unsure why I would be asked to login and update my password for security reasons?

Contact iTunes Support. Scroll to the bottom of the page in the 2nd link. Follow through the screens to get a chat or telephone option.
Apple may have decided your password wasn't strong enough to meet their current criteria.
I don’t believe that’s why because I recently updated my password because of that
Yes it did. I got in my car and plugged it into play music and it disabled my iTunes and music app
Why was I asked to change my password and verify my identity?
