iCloud Storage not working
I just recently upgraded my iCloud storage to 50 GB. Then now I couldn’t take anymore pictures and videos because ”iPhone Full Storage” always pops out. My iCloud Storage is just stuck to 5.4GB of 50GB. How do I fix this?

Purchasing additional space in the cloud only gives you additional space in the cloud, it doesn't create anymore space on your phone. To do that you will need to delete some items, although if you haven't already, you might want to turn on photo optimisation before deleting anything.
Settings ➔ Photos & camera ➔ Optimise iPhone(iPad/iPod) Storage
I’ve already optimized iPhone storage. The reason why I upgraded my iCloud is for a more spacious storage for my photos and videos. But it didn’t do its work. I’m just curious why my iCloud is stuck on 5.4GB of 50GB and then my iPhone storage itself is the one getting affected. What’s the purpose of iCloud then?
If you have photos optimised then iCloud keeps your full resolution versions of the optimised versions on your phone. Creating more space in the cloud can't create more space on your phone.
Oh okay, now I get it. Thank you!
