Full screen caller ID missing for some contacts?

hi there,

i'm a big fan of the full screen caller ID pic and for some contacts it works and for others, it doesn't. in those cases, all i get is the small circle with the name, incoming or outgoing. i've tried pretty much everything to get the full screen back: using the apple camera app, assigning the pic through the photo library, resizing within the contact app, taking a screen shot of the resized photo then adding it, but nothing seems to work.

as i mentioned, some of my contacts do still have the full screen caller ID pic for both incoming and outgoing calls. is there a bug somewhere? some new fix you guys know about it?

it's pretty minor in the great scheme of things, but really annoying.

Are you syncing your contacts to iCloud? or are you syncing them to Exchange, Google, Outlook?

Emily, as you might know this is a workaround, and not a feature on iPhones (too many people were complaining that the full screen pics in Contacts were against "privacy"). But I like the full screen for incoming calls, just like you.

I don't own an iPX (only a model 7). And I can ONLY see the full screen pic for incoming calls (not for outgoing).

But the procedure should be always the same: have the picture on your camera roll, edit the contact deleting the existing small pic then tap on "done". Enter the same contact, add again the picture from camera roll, resize it, then tap "done". Close the contacts app.

thanks so much for your response! i had no idea they axed that feature for privacy issues?!? they should have that be an option to toggle because it's sooooo much better.

anyway, what's weird is that some of my contacts come in full size and some, the small circle. i can't figure out what the difference is. i'll give your tip a shot.

I've tried everything. taken a picture with the apple camera app, posted from photos, then from within the contacts app, used other camera apps like hipstamatic, taken a photo from the camera roll, resized to make it full screen and then screen capped it. i can't figure out what works and what doesn't. i think i've had the most success with making a screen cap then using that full screen image, but sometimes that doesn't work. honestly, it's a mystery.
