Will Garageband mobile no longer copy and paste tracks between songs?
I have been running and old version of Garageband Mobile on an iPod touch with iOS 9.3 for a few years, and over the time I had the device I got pretty used to the ins and outs of the program.
However, I recently purchased an iPhone 7+ so that I could use the plethora of the new features included in the app, but I was surprised to find that one of the features I used to utilize quite a lot was now missing: the ability to record a track or multiple tracks in one song, and then copy and paste it/them into a different song. It was incredibly helpful, and I used it for about half of the songs I worked on, but now it is completely missing or non-functional.
I don't know if it was intentional to remove this feature, I don't know if this is a problem that exists solely on my phone. I have updated the app, updated and restarted my phone a number of times, but I cannot seem to copy and paste any type of recorded sound, midi, Apple loop or microphone recorded, across songs.
Can someone please explain to me why this feature does not work, and why it was removed? I would like an extremely detailed and in-depth answer.
To be honest, this app was practically the only thing driving me to get an iPhone over any of the other guys, and to find it not in the same working state or better than when I last saw it, with a three-year-old version, is just not acceptable.
Yes, I am a bit perturbed.
You can imagine my surprise and frustration.
Thank you.
