FaceTime call won't end

I tried to Face Time my husband and the call wasn't going through so I ended it so I could just regular call him. It won't end though, the call is still up saying it's ending but it won't go away and now I can't get or make any calls. How do I make it go away? Thanks.

Hello heathy1223,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

I understand from your post that after trying to call your husband via FaceTime that you cannot end the FaceTime call or make any other kinds of calls as frozen on your screen. The following article has information which may help resolve this type of issue:

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't turn on or is frozen - Apple Support

If your screen is black or frozen

If your screen is black or frozen, you might need to force restart your device. A force restart won't erase the content on your device. You can force restart your device even if the screen is black or the buttons aren't responding. Follow these steps:

On an iPhone X, iPhone 8, or iPhone 8 Plus: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then, press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo.

If you still have an issue with FaceTime freezing and ending a call, I suggest following the steps in this support article to delete the FaceTime app and reinstall it from the App Store.
Delete built-in Apple apps on your iOS 11 device or Apple Watch

Best Regards.

Seriously shouldn't have to restart my phone because one of your guys "signature software" pieces Facetime - will not work. I have never had as many issues with an iPhone as the iPhone X. Between it's weak antenna and it's constant bugs I am really wondering what the **** I paid over a $1K for. Apple use you big tax break to hire more devs and fix you backlog of tech debt on this pile.
