Not receiving text notifications for one person.

My Apple Watch gets notifications for the person, but I don’t get them on my phone. The notification settings are set to mimic my phones.

I’ve disabled Bluetooth, reset and restored my phone, but the only resolution that works is deleting my text thread.

I don’t want to delete these texts, but after fixing the problem and restoring phone to a previous backup to get my texts back the problem persists.

Also when I open the messages on my phone it does not show the read receipt which I have turned on, and shows the messages still aren't open on my watch.

On your phone, go to the main conversation screen. Put your finger on the conversation for which you are not getting the alerts and pull to the left. Tap "Show Alerts".

Turning that setting on means that other people to whom you exchange iMessages (blue) will be able see when you have read their messages. You will not be notified if they have read yours unless they enable that feature on their phone.
