iphone 8 home button haptics and speaker not working

In Settings > Sound and Haptics: Double check that it's toggled on. (You probably already did this; I'm just covering all the bases).

Now for the real answer: A global "Vibration" setting that affects all haptics and vibrations across the entire system is hidden away. So:

In Settings > General > Accessibility > Vibration: Turn on Vibration toggle. Done and Done.
