Downloaded CD/Songs Greyed Out

I downloaded an older CD onto iTunes, and notice that the songs are greyed out when I look at my iTunes Library on my PC. I want to burn a new CD of the songs as the existing CD is scratched and doesn't play without jumps. The songs themselves play on iTunes and my iPod.

Hello Hank,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it seems you are having issues with songs you added to iTunes on your Mac from a CD being greyed out. If you're using Apple Music, to help with this issue, please follow these steps from this Apple resource on iCloud Music Library, which Apple Music uses:.

If some of your songs are missing or the song names appear in gray text

If songs that you bought are missing or the song names appear in gray text, they might use digital rights management (DRM). You need to authorize your computer before you can play these songs.

After you authorize, choose File > Library > Update iCloud Music Library from the menu bar at the top of your computer screen or the top of the iTunes window.

If you synced the songs that appear with gray text to your iOS device from a Mac or PC, turn on iCloud Music Library on that computer and your library should update.
