Green fuzzy screen when open lid of MacBook Pro

Sometimes, when I open the lid of my Late 2016 MacBook Pro Non Touch-Bar, a green fuzzy screen appears for 2-3 seconds, then will disappear and show log-in screen. Not sure if this is a software issue, or hardware issue?
