Match.com App won’t restore purchase

I subscribed to match thru the app and then it took me to itunes to pay. However, the app won’t recognize the purchase even though I clicked on the “restore purchase” several times. I have signed up on the match app with a different email address than the one linked to my itunes, could this be the issue?

It sounds like you're having trouble restoring your in-app purchases with the Match app. I'll be happy to help out.

You will want to use the same Apple ID email address that was used to make the in-app purchase originally. Here's some more information about this:

Restore your in-app purchases

Some in-app purchases, such as game currency or hints, are consumable, which means that they run out as you use them. You can only restore non-consumable purchases. Learn about different types of in-app purchases.

To restore a non-consumable purchase, open the app that you made the purchase in and look for an option to restore. You might find it in one of these places:

  • The app's main menu.
  • The app's Settings or Options menus.
  • The app's in-app store.

If you were charged for the purchase and still can't restore, contact the app developer for support. You can also report a problem with the in-app purchase.

Thanks for following up with the steps you've taken. I hate to hear that you're still having trouble. Since you've already contacted the developer, the next step would be to report the problem to Apple. You can use this link and report a problem with an app that has been purchased within 90 days: Report a Problem

I’ve tried everything you recommended and it doesn’t work. I contacted match customer care and they referred me to their technical support. It’s been three days and I haven’t been contacted by match at all. I don’t think I should pay for a subscription that I’m not able to use because of the app technical issues. Is there anyway to get my money back?
