beats x Bluetooth issues

Dear all,


Last week I updated the OS of my MBP and iPhone 7.. buy unfortunately it did broke my connectivity with my beats x headphones and can stream Apple Music to it (actually I can't stream anything)..


I cant get a stable connection and it usually drops out. I did a reset (by pressing the power and lower volume buttons) on the headphones and remove it from my devices but so far no luck


I wonder what is the best step to follow

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

I understand your BeatsX Earphones are not connecting and streaming Apple Music properly after you updated the operating system on your MacBook Pro. What did you update to? The first thing I would suggest is to click on the "Beats Updater" in the resource below to update your Earphones. Then restart your computer, unpair the Earphones and then pair with Bluetooth again. Confirm that the earphones are working in other applications before connecting to Apple Music to isolate the issue further.

Hi Spiraltokyo,

Thanks for responding. Since your Beats X Earphones are blinking red and white, you may need to have an Apple Genius or an Apple Authorized Service Provider take a look at them. Click on the "Service and Support" section of the resource below to find one near you.

Find Locations - Service - Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Service Providers

Answers as follow


(1) did update to 10.13.4 (latest software update), same for iPhone 7


(2) Beats X is up to date, I already installed Beats Updater 3.2.33


*****Then restart your computer, unpair the Earphones and then pair with Bluetooth again


(3) I did actually I removed the headphones from my phone and Mac... and turned off bluetooth to later start adding them again ... starting from my MBP... so far no luck


***** Confirm that the earphones are working in other applications before connecting to Apple Music to isolate the issue further.


(4) actually, I am not able to stream the music or movies to the headphones system wide


.. so far I can connect to my Mac but seconds later it disconnects and I can see the red and white light blinking on the Beats x. The following message appears "Connection Lost" or " make sure BeatsX is turned on, in range, and ready to pair. see arched image .
